As
the wind roars loud
And
rain pours down
They
close their eyes
As
we start to drown
And
our homes
Become
our graves.
“It’s not our fault”
They
repeatedly say,
"The science is flawed
It will be okay
Don’t change
your fossilised habits.”
Instead
of trying
to
mitigate
Lives
are lost
To accommodate
the
higher echelons
Of
a flawed society.
Ask
them now
As
they warm the sea
“Why won’t you act
To stop this catastrophe?”
Keep
shouting
Until
they listen.
